The Health Centre opened
in 1975 and is located in the heart of the 'New Town' in Stockbridge.
General practitioner and practice nurse services are on the
1st floor, all community services are on the 2nd floor and
the chiropody service is on the ground floor.
The Practice is an accredited training practice with an attached
GP registrar and is involved in teaching first, second and
fifth year medical students from the University of Edinburgh.
The practice achieved the RCGP Practice Accreditation Award
in May 2002.
The premises are shared with another GP practice, community
nurses, mental health team, community midwives, community
chiropodists, a visiting speech therapist and a dietitian.

practice is now twinned with Ndirande in Blantyre, Malawi. We hope
